Joshua is a native of the Bastrop/Monroe area in northeast Louisiana. In 2012 Joshua married his wife, Melinda Legg, who is a practicing optometrist in northeast Louisiana. The Lord has blessed them with three beautiful children. He and his family attend McClendon Baptist Church in West Monroe, Louisiana. You can visit McClendon at www.mbcwm.org.
After working in public accounting for seven years, Joshua realized he had a sincere interest in researching the tax law. After much prayer and encouragement from his wife, he decided to pursue this interest further and enrolled in MC School of Law with a desire to obtain his J.D. and become a tax attorney. He finished law school in 2017, and he and his family settled in Monroe, Louisiana. He is now an associate attorney at Niswanger Law LLC and focuses his practice in the following areas: federal income and transfer tax planning; business entity formations and reorganizations; mergers and acquisitions; trust and estate planning; and asset protection. Joshua also still maintains an active CPA license in Louisiana. Over his career, Joshua had primarily focused his efforts on compliance and reporting transactions in accordance with regulatory standards. He looks forward to learning and practicing the planning side of such work with the clients of Niswanger Law LLC.
